Best Carrack .300 Loadout in Warzone & Modern Warfare 2
The Carrack .300 became Warzone and MW2’s latest sniper rifle when it dropped with August 2’s Season 5. Because of its semi-automatic fire-rate and outstanding handling, it’s more of a DMR than a sniper. That’s translated to ourbest Carrack .300 loadouts for MW2 and Warzone.
Best Warzone Build
When we first recommended classes for the Carrack, it was largely based off what we expected from the weapon and how it was billed byActivision. The devs’ emphasis on an “exceptionally high fire rate” and “best-in-class handling and stability”, have certainly rung true.
However, time with the sniper has pushed us to realize its biggest weakness is its default magazine, which holds just 6 shots. For a semi-auto weapon that fires quickly, it’s nowhere near enough.
As a result we’re kicking off with the15 Round Magand.300 High Velocity Ammunition.The former more than doubles magazine capacity and the latter ensures that the bullets reach their targets a lot quicker. In Warzone, when the Carrack will be used at ultra long ranges and against teams of three or four, they’re both crucial.
Next up is theDemon Helix T7muzzle. This’ll stabilize your shots to a significant degree, without incurring the movement and ADS penalties a lot of the other muzzles threaten. This is improved even more by theTV Naught Rear Grip, which further reduces recoil without incurring any penalties elsewhere. There’s literally no reasonnotto equip it.
Finally, theCarrack Ops Stockcomes in, primarily because of the extent to which it improves ADS movement speed. It means players can strafe a lot better while aiming, making them a harder target while laying down fire of their own. It rounds out a strong and powerful Carrack class, perfect for the BR alongside astrong SMG.
Best MW2 Loadout
InModern Warfare 2,we’re speeding up the Carrack .300 as much as possible, turning it into more of a DMR and less of a sniper rifle. The result is a weapon that’s powerful and consistent, albeit difficult to control.
It’s all change in the attachment department as a result. Firstly, we’re opting for theSchlager 3.4x optic,which quickens ADS and makes it more suitable for the short range gunfights MW2 typically yields.
Next up is theLEX V14 Stock, which speeds up ADS time and improves recoil control. It’ll make the Carrack easier to control and faster to respond. This is aided by theEngage-20 Rear Grip,which is chosen for the boosts it brings to ADS time. When used as a DMR, getting set up to shoot accurately is crucial.
Finally, the10 Round Magand1MW Quick Fire Lasercome in, both offering tangible improvements to accuracy and handling. It’s a quick, snappy sniper, perfect for MW2 multiplayer.
How To Unlock the Carrack .300
Like the other Season 5 weapon, the FR Avancer, the Carrack is available via the new season’s Battle Pass. Assuming you’ve got this, it’s available at no extra cost and players need only work their way up toSector E7.Using your BP Tokens to claim this Sector will grant you goodies – and the Carrack .300.
As with other DLC weapons, purchasing a store bundle with a Carrack .300 variant or blueprint will unlock it as well, so if you don’t want to wait for your Battle Pass to rank up, you can get it quicker.
Once unlocked, it’ll be there for you to use in Warzone and MW2 (assuming you own the annual installment), so don’t worry about which you play to earn your Battle Pass Tokens.
