When Does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Come Out?
Fortnite Chatper 5 Season 2 will release on June 21, 2025, but at a later time than expected. It was supposed to launch at around 9am ET like other new season updated, but Epic Games extended downtime for another eight hours. As such, it’ll begin at 5pm ET.

There’s been a lot of rumors circulating Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and we’ve broken down the most notable ones:
Jujutsu Kaisen Wave 2
While we initially saw the first Jujutsu Kaisen x Fortntie crossover back in Chapter 4 Season 5, it appears more are on the way this season. As spotted by LeakySussed on X, the new game files make frequent reference to a Jujutsu Kaisen Cup appearing this season. While that’s no guarantee, it means it’s likely to see new skins landing, too.

Greek Mythology Battle Pass
ManyFortnite playersbelieve Chapter 5 Season 2 will becentered around Greek Mythology. Designs found in the current map suggest this theme, specifically with the wording of “Odyssey.” There are also some leaks with new POIs, hinting at its Greek Mythology theme.

To add more fuel to the fire,Fortnite leaksshowcase an Olympian Battle Pass with an ensemble of well-known gods. In particular, we’ve seen the likes of Zeus, Cerberus, and Medusa. Kratos could also be making a comeback, especially with the season’s central theme.
New characters will bring more gameplay content, from the weaponry of Poseidon’s Trident to god-inspired medallions. Additionally, God of War items may be included, such as Kratos’ Blade of Chaos. Similar to him, you’ll be able to take down the gods using weapons like this and prove victorious in battle.

Other than this, there have been instances of earthquakes and ice melting around the map as a lead-up to the following season. This could indicate something lurking deep within the ground, unleashing a wild beast.

New Collaborations
Speaking of beasts, a beloved panda could make his debut in the Omniverse due to the timing of the season. In particular, we could see Kung Fu Panda’s Po since the fourth movie installment happens to land on the same day the Battle Pass ends.
Deadpool may also return with a brand-new version of his clothing. Like Kung Fu Panda 4, this character has an upcoming movie debut, so the rumors could be true for his new Fortnite skins. Additionally, Godzilla could be joining the cast due to the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
But if you thought that was a lot, you may anticipate even more Fortnite collaborations, including One Piece, Final Fantasy, and The Fantastic 4. Some franchises will also be expanded with new faces, like Spider-Man’s Doctor Octopus. Unfortunately, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 may not involve theDisney collaboration, based on the “soonish” teaser we got from the announcement.

Although these characters haven’t been officially confirmed, the rumors could become true once more information has been disclosed.
Midas Return
Apart from new features, we may see the return of the character Midas. The theory ties into a file featuring his namesake on a yacht landmark, but it could be a cosmetic rather than an all-out return.
