How to Beat Scream in Spider-Man 2
After the Symbiote takes control of Harry in Spider-Man 2, Venom plans to infect the Earth and everyone living there. The creature even turns MJ into a Symbiote, and you mustbeat Scream in Spider-Man 2before you can remove the parasite.
Spider-Man 2 Scream Boss Fight Guide
Before heading to Peter’s house, I highly recommend upgrading the Sonic Burst gadget. This tool can stun all Symbiote enemies, giving you room to attack the boss. Another weapon you may consider leveling up is the Upshot gadget, which can create an opening by launching Scream into the air.
The Scream boss fight consists of four phases; the first two will be on the road, while the second half will be in the backyard. Like thePeter boss fight, you can use high-frequency sound to immobilize Scream temporarily. During the first two phases, you can activate the alarms in the crashed cars, and in the second half, you can bring down the metal pipes to stun the boss.
Scream has a similar move set throughout the four phases. Besides striking you with her claws, she will attack you using her hair as a whip. She will usually strike three times, and you must focus on parrying or dodging until her combo ends.
Scream also has a ranged move, where she will jump on a rooftop and shoot three projectiles. Luckily, they’re pretty slow, and you should be able to dodge them with ease.
One move you need to be careful with is thetentacle burst. You cannot block this attack, and you must get out of her range. The game will warn you using a large blue circle around the boss’ head, and you have around two seconds to back away.
The second unblockable attack Scream can use is thehair grab. Unlike the tentacle burst, you must dodge sideways to avoid getting caught and slammed to the ground.
Although Scream will attack you using the same moves, her speed will get faster as you progress through each phase. You must understand her attack pattern and only attempt to hit her during the pause between her combos.
